JFK’s Niece Vows to Use ‘Pickax’ to Remove Trump’s Name From Kennedy Center

The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. is one step closer to being called the Trump-Kennedy Center.

On December 18, 2025, the White House confirmed the board of the Kennedy Center voted to rename the building that is in honor of President John F. Kennedy.

“I have just been informed that the highly respected Board of the Kennedy Center, some of the most successful people from all parts of the world, have just voted unanimously to rename the Kennedy Center to the Trump-Kennedy Center, because of the unbelievable work President Trump has done over the last year in saving the building,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt wrote via X at the time. “Not only from the standpoint of its reconstruction, but also financially, and its reputation. Congratulations to President Donald J. Trump, and likewise, congratulations to President Kennedy, because this will be a truly great team long into the future! The building will no doubt attain new levels of success and grandeur.”

Soon after the news broke, several Kennedy family members spoke out against the board’s decision.

Celebrities Call Out President Trump’s Comments About Rob Reiner’s Death

Maria Shriver questioned why Trump has been so interested in having his name be part of the cultural center.

“Next thing perhaps he will want to rename JFK Airport, rename the Lincoln Memorial, the Trump Lincoln Memorial. The Trump Jefferson Memorial. The Trump Smithsonian. The list goes on,” she wrote via Instagram. “Can we not see what is happening here? C’mon, my fellow Americans! Wake up! This is not dignified. This is not funny. This is way beneath the stature of the job. It’s downright weird. It’s obsessive in a weird way. Just when you think someone can’t stoop any lower, down they go…”

According to NBC News, Trump told reporters at the White House that he was “surprised” and “honored” by the board’s vote.

Keep reading to see how other Kennedy family members reacted to the news:

Jack Schlossberg

JFK’s only grandson vowed to fight back against the Kennedy Center’s new name.

“SEND ME TO CONGRESS TO SMOKE THESE FOOLS — MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD LOUD AND CLEAR,” Schlossberg, who is running for New York’s 12th Congressional District, said via Instagram on December 18, 2025. “I won’t back down or be drowned out.”

Joe Kennedy III

After seeing Leavitt’s announcement about the Kennedy Center, JFK’s nephew decided to speak out on social media.

“The Kennedy Center is a living memorial to a fallen president and named for President Kennedy by federal law,” he wrote via X on December 18, 2025. “It can no sooner be renamed than can someone rename the Lincoln Memorial, no matter what anyone says.”

Maria Shriver

The journalist and niece of JFK expressed her disappointment at the Kennedy Center being renamed to the Trump-Kennedy Center.

“The Kennedy Center was named after my uncle, President John F Kennedy. It was named in his honor. He was a man who was interested in the arts, interested in culture, interested in education, language, history,” she wrote via Instagram on December 18, 2025. “He brought the arts into the White House, and he and my Aunt Jackie [Kennedy Onassis] amplified the arts, celebrated the arts, stood up for the arts and artists.”

Shriver continued, “It is beyond comprehension that this sitting president has sought to rename this great memorial dedicated to President Kennedy. It is beyond wild that he would think adding his name in front of President Kennedy’s name is acceptable. It is not.”

After workers installed Trump’s name to the Kennedy Center building, Shriver spoke out again.

“This will always be the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts,” she wrote via Instagram later that month. “A great man would have said to his hand picked board, ‘Thank you, but the building already has its name. Let it stand. Let it be. I don’t need that.’ But then again…”

Kerry Kennedy

“President Trump and his administration have spent the past year repressing free expression, targeting artists, journalists, and comedians and erasing the history of Americans whose contributions made our nation better and more just,” JFK’s niece Kerry wrote via X on December 18, 2025. “President Kennedy proudly stood for justice, peace, equality, dignity, diversity, and compassion for those who suffer. President Trump stands in opposition to these values, and his name should not be placed alongside President Kennedy’s.”

One day later, Kerry reacted to Trump’s name being installed on the building.

“Three years and one month from today, I’m going to grab a pickax and pull those letters off that building, but I’m going to need help holding the ladder,” she wrote via X. “Are you in? Applying for my carpenter’s card today, so it’ll be a union job!!!”

Donald Trump Attacks Jimmy Kimmel Again While Hosting Kennedy Center Honors

Tim Shriver

“Perhaps the board isn’t aware that the Kennedy Center is 𝗧𝗛𝗘 memorial to the president of the United States, John F. Kennedy.  Would they rename the Lincoln memorial? The Jefferson? That would be an insult to great presidents. This too is an insult to a great president,” JFK’s nephew Tim wrote via X in December 2025. “ Notwithstanding their short-sighted action, it is and will remain the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.”

FBI’s Jeremy Sisto Says ‘Scary’ Fall Finale Has Jubal at ‘Center of the Storm’

As FBI heads into its winter hiatus, Jeremy Sisto warns that Jubal’s team is in for an “exciting” and “horrible” case with many twists and turns.

“It’s scary,” Sisto, who plays ASAC Jubal Valentine, exclusively told Us Weekly of the show’s two-part fall finale airing on Monday, December 15.

He teased that Jubal is “at the center of the storm in this one,” and so is his son, Tyler (Caleb Reese Paul).

Monday’s double feature begins with “Lone Wolf,” which, according to Sisto, 51, starts with the FBI team being alerted to a crime by the tip line, “which is not something [that] usually leads us anywhere.”

FBI’s Alana De La Garza Explains Isobel’s Job Decision, What’s Next for Jubal

Sisto revealed that FBI analyst Kelly Moran (Taylor Anthony Miller) has an “instinct” about one of the calls, and “heads out with our agents, and they find three dead sex workers.”

Throughout the episode, the special agents discover that the murderer has connections to a “radical accelerationist movement that is committed to resetting society because it’s gotten so, so rotten.”

The actor explained that the terrorist group’s “plan is big” and includes “disrupting cell and internet connectivity,” which impacts how Jubal and the team investigate. “[It’s] very frustrating when you get disconnected, but even worse when you’re trying to stop further damage [from happening],” Sisto shared.

Which ‘FBI’ Stars Are — And Aren’t — Returning for Season 8?

“It rises to a pretty drastic, pretty dramatic threat,” Sisto told Us, noting all of the agents become “concerned” with their families “being in the wrong place at the wrong time when there is an active threat.”

That threat hits especially close to Jubal, whose high-school aged son is “in the city for the day with a friend” as the events unfold.

“[He’s] just hoping he’s not at the wrong place, at the wrong time,” Sisto said of his character’s arc, teasing that fans should pay special attention to Tyler and his conversations with dad Jubal in both parts of the fall finale.

Sisto confirmed, “In the beginning, you know something is going to get dirty with this plot,” teasing that in part two, titled “Wolf Pack,” the team must track down the bad guys without their usual communication tools in place.

Even with the disruption to their comms system, Sisto said the team will do their best to “search every square inch” of New York City to find the culprits — but it won’t be without a few mishaps.

5 Top New Movies and TV Shows to Watch This Week on Netflix, Prime and More (December 15-19)

“In this particular case, we don’t find them quick enough before some very bad stuff happens,” Sisto explained, hinting that Jubal’s personal connection to the case will be part of the “bad stuff” that transpires.

He teased that the second half of the fall finale is all about “finding [the culprits] before even more horrible things happen.”

“It’s definitely not a victory throughout,” Sisto ominously warned. “That’s why it takes two hours to get through the story. Because there’s some pretty, pretty bad losses along the way.”

FBI’s two-part fall finale airs on CBS Monday, December 15, at 8 p.m. ET. The show will resume with new episodes in February 2026.

Social Media Influencer Christopher Blake Griffith Countersues Stefon Diggs

Not long after NFL star Stefon Diggs submitted a libel lawsuit against a social media influencer, the influencer is clapping back.

Christopher Blake Griffith, the content creator who accused Diggs of sexual assault over the summer, is filing a countersuit against the New England Patriots wide receiver, denying Diggs’ claims of libel, according to a report from TMZ on Friday, November 21.

Griffith claims Diggs “drugged and sexually assaulted” him in 2023 after a charity basketball game. Griffith alleged that Diggs and others went to a D.C. club that night before going to Diggs’ home afterwards, where he was assaulted by Diggs and others. In Griffith’s police report from 2023, he also claimed Diggs offered him candy that was “laced with drugs” without knowledge.

According to the TMZ report, when Griffith got to Diggs’ house after leaving the club, Diggs “exposed his penis to Mr. Griffith” and began masturbating. Griffith then allegedly told Diggs to “put his penis away” and when he walked to the door of Diggs’ house, the NFL star tried to kiss him.

NFL’s Stefon Diggs Sues Influencer Christopher Blake Griffin, Alleging Libel

The influencer then reportedly hid in Diggs’ bathroom for 45 minutes and was threatened by Diggs’ family when he left the bathroom. One week later, Griffith was allegedly assaulted outside of his Los Angeles apartment and suffered serious injuries.

On October 1, 2025, Diggs filed a libel lawsuit against Griffith, disputing his claims about what happened that night. According to Diggs, he went to his bedroom to wrap up the evening after the basketball game while his assistant asked Griffith to leave the house.

It was at this time that the alleged assault took place.

Over the summer, nearly two years after the alleged incident, Griffith took to social media to put Diggs under fire about what he claims happened that evening.

Griffith posted an Instagram story at the time, claiming the assault and tagging the footwear company Ugg and actress Sarah Jessica Parker in the post. (Both had participated in a campaign for Ugg).

The influencer said he was “disgusted” that the company hired Diggs for the campaign after he filed a police report from the May 2023 incident.

He also shared what he claimed was a copy of his police report in the August 2025 post, tagging the NFL and the Patriots in the post.

“Y’all gon let Aaron Hernandez 2.0 just run wild without penalty?” Griffith posted on his Instagram story, referring to the late tight end who was found guilty of first-degree murder in 2015 before dying by suicide while incarcerated in 2017.

“I’m aware that you’re aware & since we’re BOTH aware, let’s act accordingly.”

Stefon Diggs’ Ex Accuses Him of Trying to Silence Her Over Alleged Assault

In a statement obtained by multiple outlets, Griffith’s lawyer, Jake Lebowitz, denied Diggs’ claims that the events ever happened.

“Mr. Griffith is looking forward to showing the world in Court that regardless of the fairy tale fabricated by Mr. Diggs’ high-priced New York Lawyers, he is the victim of Mr. Diggs’ unwanted sexual advances and his brother’s violent attacks.”

Diggs recently welcomed a baby with his girlfriend, rapper Cardi B, the couple announced on Thursday November 13 via Instagram.

How to Watch Sunday’s NFL Football Games Without YouTube TV (November 16)

Disney and YouTube TV are in a protracted fight over carriage fees, and all of the Disney-owned channels have been pulled from the latter.

That includes ABC and ESPN. But the good news is that the vast majority of the NFL’s weekly games are broadcast on network television.

Even if you can’t get ABC through YouTube TV, you can still stream the channel for free.

Now, we’ll tell you where you can watch all of Sunday’s football games without YouTube TV. The only games you may have to pay for are on the NFL+ streaming service or ESPN.

Going Through Super Bowl Withdrawals? Watch These Football Movies, TV Shows

Is It Worth Getting NFL+?

It depends on how dedicated you are to the NFL. This is the way to stream the NFL Network, which usually broadcasts at least one live game per week. It also has ad-free highlights and access to NFL Films’ library of documentaries. Standard access is $6.99, while NFL+ Premium is $14.99 and includes access to NFL Red Zone.

You can sign up for NFL+ here.

Can I Still Watch ESPN?

Yes. ESPN is still the juggernaut of cable and streaming sports channels, and it’s included on most of the primary live TV options outside of YouTube TV.

Where Can I Watch ESPN for Free?

For hardcore sports fans, fuboTV may be your best option. It has a free trial that lets you access multiple sports channels, including ESPN, ESPN2 and ACC Network, as well as a complimentary subscription to ESPN Unlimited and a handful of fubo-only sports channels.

Having said that, fuboTV has a very high monthly subscription fee: $84.99. But if you keep the service beyond your free trial, you’ll get the first month of your subscription for $54.99 before the price reverts to its normal rate.

To sign up for fuboTV’s free trial, click here.

Where Can I Watch ESPN for a Low Price?

Sling TV is a more affordable option than fuboTV, but ESPN is not included in the standard $46 monthly tier. To get ESPN, ESPN2, and other related channels, you’ll need to upgrade to Sling Orange for an additional $4.99 a month. That’s still cheaper than fuboTV, but not by much.

To subscribe to Sling TV, click here.

Where Else Can I Stream ESPN?

One thing we can guarantee is that ESPN won’t be pulled from Hulu any time soon, since both are owned by Disney. Hulu offers a live TV subscription for $89.99, which is far from cheap. But it includes ESPN and a subscription to Disney+. New subscribers can get a temporary discounted rate of $64.99 per month, but that will only extend through the first three months of your term.

To sign up for Hulu + Live TV, click here.

Should I Consider Signing Up to ESPN Unlimited?

If all you want is ESPN, the standalone app is $29.99, and it includes live access to all of the ESPN-related channels.

To subscribe to ESPN Unlimited, click here.

Can I Watch NFL Games With Regular Cable?

Of course you can. In fact, that’s almost always your best option if you’re watching games at home. You can still stream the games when you’re out of the house. But for pure comfort, this is the way to go.
